Hi there! I’m Sonja Michael, the founder and creative force behind Sonja Michael Design, a small family-owned business dedicated to helping your brand shine. I’m a wife, a mom, and a lifelong creative, passionate about using my skills to bring your vision to life.

A Little About Me

I married my best friend and biggest supporter in October of 2007, and in December of 2012, I became a mom to an amazing son who inspires me every day. I come from a long line of creatives—my parents, grandparents, and siblings are all skilled in everything from crafting and furniture building to major home construction and design. You could say creativity is in my blood!

How My Journey Began

My career path has always been tied to design and creativity. I started as a kitchen designer, selecting cabinet styles, appliances, and finishes, which I loved. After a decade in that field, I explored another passion: cosmetology. I earned my license, worked as a hairstylist, and enjoyed several years in the salon industry.

When my son was born, I stepped away from the salon to spend more time with my family, and I turned my attention to another creative passion—graphic design. After earning my degree, I worked at a corporate t-shirt shop, where my love for print and branding was born. Over the years, I gained experience at two other print industry franchises, learning the ins and outs of signage, apparel, and custom products.

Where I Am Now

With years of experience and a growing network, I launched Sonja Michael Design to serve my clients in the best way possible. My mission is to help businesses—especially small businesses—find the perfect products to market their brand, showcase their events, and leave a lasting impression. I see myself as more than a designer; I’m your product consultant, here to guide you every step of the way.
